Rocky Mountain Power’s Wattsmart Battery Program launched December 1, 2020, and is available to homes and businesses that either have or want to install an in-home or on-site battery storage system. Currently the program is only available for customers with a rooftop solar system, or a rooftop solar system paired with a battery.

WHO IS IT FOR? This is an exciting program for trailblazing Rocky Mountain Power customers in Utah who purchase and install a qualifying battery storage system on or after December 1, 2020.
Who qualifies for Rocky Mountain Power?
Qualifying Rocky Mountain Power customers must be on Electric Service Schedule 135, 136, or 137 to be eligible. All equipment is installed, connected, and meets all program requirements for participation on or after December 1, 2020. Battery must be charged by customer onsite solar system. Incentive capped at 70% of battery equipment costs.
Does Rocky Mountain Power offer incentives?
If you are planning a project over 25 kW and plan to sell power to Rocky Mountain Power, find information on qualifying facilities, grid connection requests and market-based incentives. If you have onsite solar generation, you can earn incentives for allowing us to automatically manage your battery as part of our smart grid.

Customer must have customer generation meter. Must have constantly working and reliable Internet connection and Rocky Mountain Power communications verification.
