Berlin (energate) - An underground storage facility is to supply south-east Berlin with district heating from renewable energies. According to plans by Eon subsidiary BTB, a 400 metre deep aquifer storage facility combined with a heat pump system will replace fossil fuels from the Berlin-Schöneweide coal-fired power station.
